The schedule1 template presents the customer with a date picker (like in the standard template) and lists availability for all resources in the schedule.

With the schedule2 template, the customer can search between dates (and times) for availability. After pressing the search button, the customer is presented with a list of resources available between the chosen dates (and times) and the customer can pick the one they want to reserve.

To select a template in your bookings page, use the short code [bookings template=schedule1] or [bookings template=schedule2].

1. Set up your Hotel or B&B as a Schedule
2. Set up every single room as a Resource
3. Set up as many Products as you have different types of rooms (e.g. Standard, Family, Luxury, Executive, etc), set your price here as well
4. Create a new page and enter the short code [bookings template=hotel1] anywhere on the page
5. Set up and activate a payment option (e.g. Paypal)

With Products & Services you can be sure that Bookings is even more fit for your business.

Each Product (or Service) has the following characteristics:

• Time span
• Linked resources: can be all or selected ones
• Price

A customer to your site will have the option to select:

• a Product: e.g. a 45 minutes mud bath, if you have 2 linked mud bath resources, the system will see which one is available
• or a Product and Resource: e.g. a 30 minutes feet massage by John
• or a Resource and Product: as above, except that the resource is select first, so John and a 30 minutes feet massage

In a further release, there will be the option to link multiple required resources to a Product, so for example you could have defined resources to represent your massage rooms and resources to represent the masseurs, you could then say a 45 minutes massage requires room 1 or room 2 + masseur X or masseur Y.

This applies to many industries, for example, take a garage providing car maintenance and services. Your resources are your skilled mechanics. Customers come to you to get a yearly service, having new tyres put on or something more substantial. You will have a list of services, for example:

• Yearly service:
• time: 4 hours
• resources: any mechanic
• Tyre replacement:
• time 60 minutes
• resources: mechanic X or mechanic Y

In addition you can create resource to represent the work spaces in your garage, maybe you only have 1 tyre calibration machine, you can then link that resource to your ‘tyre replacement’ service.

So you can see this concept can apply to many industries and will take the Bookings solution a step further.

Now you can set reservations to be subject to approval. The reservation remains in status ‘pending’ until it has been approved by an operator. We also added the possibility to send an email to the administrator/operator in case a new bookings has been made (Pro version). SMTP settings have been added so you can have the confirmation emails sent out directly from your own email address rather than via the default Zingiri email (Pro version).
And finally we made a few improvements and fixed a couple of issues:

• Improved role management (admin vs operator)
• Added display of region in setup panel
• Improved usability by auto redirecting after admin update
• Removed date link from front end calendar
• Removed grey background from admin screens
• Removed encapsulating html table from admin screens
• Fixed issue with front end month selector not working on some themes
• Centered day headers on front end calendar
• Removed donations reminder
