We’ve just finished building a new extension for Zingiri Web Shop that provides multi-currency to your shop set up.

What exactly does this mean?

Well, first of all, you can define the different currencies you want to use in your shop. No need to set the prices in all the currencies, the shop will automatically load the latest currency rates and convert the prices you’ve set in your base currency to the prices in the selected currencies. Using a smart rounding mechanism, you can make sure that US$ 9.95 doesn’t turn into EUR 6.73 but into EUR 6.75 or EUR 6.95.

The extension detects the customer’s location and based on that detects their currency, it will then display the prices in the customer’s currency if you have defined that currency. The customer can also change their currency whilst browsing the web shop and the product prices will immediately switch to the new currency.

All orders are registered in the selected currency so that even after checkout all the data is at hand in the customer’s preferred currency.
